IBD Asia Pacific Convention 2018 Brooke
2018 ASIA PACIFIC CONVENTION – YOU’RE INVITED
On behalf of the Asia Pacific Section of The Institute of Brewing and Distilling, we invite you to attend the 35th Convention to be held from Monday 19th March to Friday 23rd March 2018 at the TSB Bank Arena and Convention Centre in Wellington, New Zealand.
Famous for a vibrant creative culture fuelled by great food, wine, craft beer, coffee and events, Wellington is a cosmopolitan city with an energetic personality. The capital of New Zealand, it sits near the North Island’s southernmost point on the Cook Strait. A compact city, it is the ideal gateway to the spectacular scenery of both North and South Islands.
With the significant number of craft breweries now based in New Zealand there will be an ongoing focus on craft brewing as part of the technical programme. The theme for our Convention will be “Explore the Past to Discover our Future”.
The future of beer for many of us lies in understanding the foundations of beer education from our brewing past. The challenges faced by many new, and not so new to brewing, can often be solved by seeking knowledge and experience from those that have gone before them. The IBD delivers this experience and knowledge to all brewers in an accessible way – to anyone, anywhere and at all levels within the craft of brewing.
A full trade Exhibition will be run in conjunction with the Technical sessions with approximately 50 booths, whereby suppliers will be showcasing their latest offerings – a great opportunity for delegates to learn about the latest developments in technology.
The 2018 Asia Pacific IBD Convention in Wellington builds on previous platforms and delivers to the next level by integrating craft brewing, large scale brewing, and distilling needs throughout the entire convention programme. The 2018 Convention will set the new standard in brewing and distilling knowledge exchange across a platform that is enjoyable and accessible.
